Queens & Silver Screen
Friday, Jun 26th @ 7:00 pm
Presented by the Queer Film Series
The night includes an exclusive Q&A session with your favourite local queens, Miss Mousse and Autumn Horizon, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look into their creative journeys.
We are also thrilled to share the short film Tank Fairy — a vibrant musical extravaganza that encourages us all to embrace our authentic selves. Don’t miss this incredible night of community, pride, and inspiration!
About the Queens ✨
Autumn Horizon secured a grant from Kamloops Pride to launch a community-led drag “Werkshop.” The initiative supported and showcased seven emerging local performers, culminating in a live on-stage performance in May 2026.
Miss Mousse claimed the runner-up title at the 2026 Kelowna’s Next Drag Superstar Grand Finale, standing out in a fierce competition against eight other talented performers.
About the short film Tank Fairy 🎬
In Taiwan, “song wa si de” are workers who routinely supply gas tanks to street vendors and old residential buildings. The magical Tank Fairy delivers her tanks unlike any other – with sass, stilettos and a healthy helping of glitter. Her arrival upends the life of Jojo, a lonely ten-year-old who dreams of dancing and drag.
