The Cinema for Change series highlights films that tackle social issues and inequalities. We take a look at these films with a reflective lens on how they portray these social challenges in their time and how they work in our contemporary world and its context.

Networking Opportunities

Words ‘n Reels: A book and film club in partnership between the Thompson Nicola Library and the Thursday Film Series (TFS). Patrons will read and discuss an assigned book and film that have a shared theme.

The Thursday Film Series is a weekly curated series of film screenings featuring Canadian, independent and international films. The TFS Committee currently runs four Film Series:

• FALL (September to December),
• WINTER (January to February),
• SPRING (April to May),
• SUMMER series (July to August).
