Law is central to many films, including numerous classics. Movies move forward through private investigations and public prosecutions, courtroom cross-examinations, criminal crossfire, and constitutional challenges. Looking at legal actors, ideas, and institutions, this series engages with questions of truth, justice, class, race, and gender.
