The KFS Board is Recruiting A New Director

The Kamloops Film Society is looking for a community leader to join our Board of Directors.
We operate under a governance model with working components. This means you will provide
high-level strategic oversight while occasionally rolling up your sleeves to support our dedicated
staff and committees.
We are seeking candidates with expertise in:
Fundraising and development: Leading high-impact initiatives like our ’30 for 30’ campaign,
securing corporate sponsorships or identifying private donor opportunities.
HR & Employment Law: Advising on personnel policies, organizational culture, and legal
compliance as our team grows.
Finance & Accounting: Overseeing budgeting and financial reporting
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: helping execute our new 10-year roadmap to ensure the Paramount
thrives as a downtown cultural hub.
Governance: attending bi-monthly board meetings
Hands-on support: participating in a board sub-committee
Ambassadorship: Representing the KFS at festivals, screenings, and community partner
events.
Commitment:
- 2-year term
- Bi-monthly board meetings plus committee work (approximately 2 hrs/bi-monthly)
